This chopped, all-steel 1934 Ford 3-Window Coupe is a beautifully
restored and thoughtfully upgraded hot rod, with just the right
amount of vintage charm mixed with modern performance.
Exterior
Finished in rich Burgundy Metallic, the body features a 2 1/4-inch
chopped top, polished grille, chrome bumpers, custom pinstriping,
and blue dot taillights. Care was taken to be sure the unique
tilt-out front and roll-up rear windows remained functional
following the chop. Restored bright work and custom pin striping
accentuate the body lines, while 14" and 15" chrome wire-spoke
wheels on Michelin radials add a touch of class.
Interior
The custom gray upholstered interior offers power windows, a tilt
steering column, Lokar shifter, and Classic Instruments gauges. A
Sony AM/FM/CD stereo, custom door panels, lap belts, and a roll-up
rear window add sleek refinement to the simplistic cabin. Looking
for more of an open-air experience? Check out the wild matching
upholstered rumble seat!
Powertrain
A Mercury Flathead V8, built by "Flathead George," produces an
estimated 120 hp. Offenhauser heads, a triple Stromberg 97 setup,
and a Griffin aluminum radiator deliver the grunt. And a C4 3-speed
automatic transmission backed by a Ford 8-inch rear end (3.73
posi-traction) transfers power to road.
Chassis & Suspension
The factory frame is upgraded with a Heidts Mustang II-style front
suspension, adjustable coil-over shocks, and rack-and-pinion
steering. The rear features leaf springs and QA1 shocks, with power
front disc brakes bringing ride and control into the 21st
century.
