Ground pounder! Claimed to have $140,000 invested in this beauty!
Detailed body off frame restoration. If you need some excitement in
your life this one will deliver, with a 649 horsepower 509
Blueprint engine. It has a stack of receipts and the Dyno sheet to
document everything. On top of that, she is pretty too, with custom
Gunmetal paint, smoked glass and a cowl induction hood providing a
unique and tough look, on top of the all the neck snapping power!
Not every Chevelle needs to be an SS clone.
EXTERIOR: Stunning! The Gunmetal Grey paint is beautifully laid out
with great detail then polished to a glass like finish. Looking
down the side of the body it is straight as an arrow with smooth
contours and crisp lines. The smoked glass is all new with fresh
rubber seals and fuzzy strips too. All the panels are square and
flush with excellent alignment and gaps. The cowl induction hood
really enhances the profile. The front grille, headlights and
taillights are in excellent shape. The bumpers have been rechromed
and the remaining trim all has a glorious shine. A set of bowtie
mirrors and cross flag emblems decorate each side. It is rolling on
a set of American Racing Torque Thrust II chrome wheels that are
17x7s up front and 18x9s in the rear. They are wrapped in
performance tires.
INTERIOR: Totally finished! $5800 high end professional stereo
system! It has a Bluetooth capable digital head unit by Retrosound.
The seats front and back have been reupholstered. The center
console has storage in the armrest and also houses the slap stick
shifter, EFI controller and trans controller as well. Plugs in the
glove box for your laptop to make adjustments to the US Shift Quick
4 depending on your driving style. Nice fat walnut steering wheel
on a tilt column. All the gauges have been upgraded with
digital/analog units that also have a toggle display option. The
dash pad is not cracked, the headliner does not sag, and the
carpeting was replaced. The door panels and side panels have all
been replaced as well.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Damn! A 509 Blueprint crate engine will
definitely hurt some feelings on the street! Said to have about
1100 miles since new, it is Dyno tuned at 649 horsepower, 622 lbs
of torque, and runs strong! All that power plus some turnkey
reliability with the Holley Sniper fuel injection system is a
killer combination. Other upgrades include a high rise Edelbrock
intake, aluminum heads, electronic ignition system and headers. The
front of the motor has a CV polished runner system including power
steering. It was treated to a modern power steering system. It also
has power brakes with a Wilwood master cylinder and a proportioning
valve. A large aluminum radiator with electric fans keeps
everything running cool. Premium hoses and fittings were used
throughout. It has a custom-made firewall. The underside of the
hood and fender wells are all neatly painted satin black.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the trunk lid and jamb are
nicely painted body color. The weatherstrip was also replaced.
Inside has been fully boxed and carpeted with the 427 cross flags
custom embroidered. The floor has a lift out panel with abundant
storage that currently houses the car cover.
UNDERSIDE: Body off frame restoration! All the steering components
have been replaced and look great. Upgraded front suspension with
tubular control arms plus fresh shocks and springs all the way
around. It also has upgraded Wilwood 4 wheel disc brakes that have
slotted and drilled rotors and a custom e-brake assembly. Custom
exhaust with long tube headers, x-pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and
polished tips exiting under the rear bumper. It has an in tank
Holley fuel pump. Looking up at the performance built 509 Blueprint
crate engine it has an extra capacity oil pan and a high torque
starter. The freshly serviced performance built 4L60E automatic
overdrive electronic transmission has an upgraded 4L79 clutch pack,
plus it's dressed in a chrome chrome flywheel cover and matching
pan. It also has a 12 bolt rear end with 3.73 gears and a chrome
cover too. The floors are solid and rust free with neatly applied
black paint.
SERVICE: We ran this car through our shop and repaired the seat
tracks, dash light contacts, and brake lines brackets. We also
installed a new power steering pump.
Want to hit the streets hard? A 509 Blueprint engine with 649
horsepower should do the trick. Add in the fuel injection, killer
colors plus a high-quality restoration and you have a real winner.
We get a bunch of Chevelles here at the museum and this is one I
can't wait to drive!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
