Vehicle Description
When it comes to revolutionary designs in the automotive world, few
cars, if any, can rival the transition from the end of the C3
generation to this 1984 Chevrolet Corvette. Fully repainted in its
Blue Metallic paint, complemented by a full-length grey
center-stripe, this first-year C4 represents the biggest shift in
design and technological advancement from one generation to the
next for GM's halo car.
Inside, we find the (now) retro digital dashboard that is beyond
cool and looks as though it would be right at home in an episode of
Knight Rider (if K.I.T.T. was a Corvette) or a Back to the Future
reboot, where Marty McFly chooses a quicker car this time around.
Pop off the removable Targa top, sink into the plush black leather
bucket seats, and enjoy the plethora of amenities like power locks,
windows, mirrors, driver's seat, and cruise control as they make
any road trip a comfortable one. An upgraded JVC AM/FM/Aux/CD head
unit offers a more expansive series of musical options than the
original unit it replaces.
Under the signature front-hinged Corvette hood, we find a
stock-appearing 350 cubic-inch V-8 engine. Although 205 horsepower
and 290 pound-feet of torque may not seem as exciting today as it
did forty years ago, the C4's Crossfire-injected small block helped
the 1984 Corvette run from 0-60 mph in less than seven seconds,
making it one of the five or six fastest cars in the entire world
at the time. Power is routed through a 700R4 four-speed automatic,
which was recently rebuilt in 2019 before being sent to a set of
sixteen-inch factory alloy wheels shod in 255/50R-16 Toyo tires via
the stock Corvette rear.

Along with its recently rebuilt transmission, this 1984 Chevrolet
Corvette also has had its PCM rebuilt in 2020, its heater core
replaced in 2023, and its coolant temperature sensor replaced in
2024. A spare set of keys, Targa top tools, and approximately
$4,000 in receipts show this car has been cared for over its
lifetime. So, if you want a vehicle that is truly one of the most
revolutionary designs in the history of the autoverse, don't wait
another minute because this is the car you've been waiting for.
