This is a real 1955 V8 Pontiac Safari (only 3760 produced) it is in excellent restored condition. This Pontiac was a Frame off Restoration. From its metallic turquoise blue and white paint to its completely restored chrome and stainless trim and chassis this car is ready for a collection or to be driven.
The Refreshed Strato Streak 287 CID V8 was a newly designed motor for the 1955 Pontiacs. The 287 is mated to a 3-Speed hydro-Matic automatic transmission that was also refreshed and shifts smoothly and cruises down the highway great. The engine compartment is clean and ready for shows.
The turquoise and white interior was completely restored and looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. All chrome was redone and is very comfortable. It still has a functioning heater core below the driver’s seat (The original Heated seat). The dash has all original functioning gauges and AM/FM radio along with clock to add to the overall look. Four-wheel power drum brakes make this Pontiac fun to drive.
The dual Silver Streaks running the length of the hood are paired with the Amber Indian head emblem that lights up when the lights are turned on. The two-tone paint, metal accented body with the White walls really set this vehicle off. This 1955 Pontiac Safari is a good cruiser and one for shows or the beach. This car turns heads wherever it goes.
