Vehicle Description
STK 3961 1975 Triumph TR6
The Triumph TR6 is a British sports car that epitomizes classic
motoring in the 1970s. It was part of the Triumph TR series, a line
of roadsters produced by the company from 1968 through 1975. The
TR6's styling, designed by German coachbuilder Karmann, was bold
and angular and featured a sloping hood, straight-edged grille and
large headlights. The TR6 adopted a muscular look with its wide,
flared fenders and an aggressive stance. This 1975 TR6 had a
quality restoration in 2021. In addition to restoration
documentation, the owner has furnished extensive service records
dating back to the 1970's - the most complete/organized records you
could possibly expect. A Heritage Trust Certificate by the British
Motor Industry is also furnished. The exterior was professionally
refinished in Pimento Red. It has been ceramic coated for
protection and a custom car cover is also included. Factory 15" OEM
road wheels (w/new trim rings) mount classic redline performance
radials. The handsome tan leather interior has also been fully
restored to virtually original condition and features a walnut
veneer dash w/full working instrumentation, new stainless door
sills, console and mats. A raging AM/FM/CD 'RetroSound Apache'
sound system w/Bluetooth and Kicker speakers has been installed.
The new convertible top is in excellent condition and a matching
tonneau is provided.
The TR6 is powered by Triumph's 2.5-liter OHV inline-6 that sits in
a spotless engine compartment. The owner states that this motor has
been totally rebuilt and upgraded with three Stromberg carburetors
- runs strong. It is backed by a fully-synchronized 4-speed manual
gearbox w/electric overdrive and the free-flowing exhaust provides
a wonderful Triumph growl. The traditional body-on-frame chassis
features rack-and-pinion steering, power-assisted front disc/rear
drum brakes and a semi-trailing arm independent rear suspension.
The TR6 remains an iconic Triumph model, combining performance and
style to recreate the essence of British motoring. It is cherished
by collectors and classic car enthusiasts for its timeless design
and wonderful driving characteristics. This British icon is waiting
to meet its new owner - it will not take long. ALL VEHICLES SOLD
