The Corvette design was changed in 1961, and it was a product of
careful craftmanship and creative engineering as the world's finest
sports car in its performance class. In 1961, five Corvette models
were entered in the Sebring twelve-hour race in March. This was a
wonderful way for General Motors to show off the Chevrolet Corvette
models' style and handling performance for race car fans.
The 1961 Corvette models offered a rear ducktail design that was
first shown on the racing Stingray and the XP-700 show car.
Take the classic sport car design, give it the tasteful new
styling, with the sleek rear deck that is uncluttered and from that
point forward, it became obvious this Corvette was designed to be
driven!
The 1961 was built for enthusiastic rallyist, about towners,
countryside explorers, or all three to match the uncompromising
speed and performance offered made that was available at local
dealerships across the country, and at prices that made buying even
the highest end Corvette affordable.

Engine & Drivetrain
The 1961 Corvette original car has been fitted with a complete
custom chassis built by Chassis Concept using all brand-new C-4
suspension with the powerplant upgraded to a brand-new GM LS-3 with
430 horsepower and backed by a brand new 4L 65E transmission
shifted by a Lokar shifter. All components are brand new. No
expense spared!
The brand new LS3 engine feature custom fuel rail covers, chrome
and polished power steering and brake units, Vintage Air Motorsport
serpentine belt system, electric e-brake, chambered dual exhausts,
DeWitt aluminum radiator with electric fans, with the enhanced by
the brand-new custom engine bay. The fire wall is custom built for
an added clean appearance.
It is further enhanced with the slotted and cross drilled disc
brakes, a new 4-wheel independent suspension, power rack and pinion
steering, Speartech computer and harness, and rides on the Z06
wheels with red line tires.
Interior
A brand new flawless complete interior with sound deadening
material, custom Carmine red leather red bucket seats, red leather
upholstery on the door panels and dash, red leather steering wheel,
Dakota digital gauges, Power windows, Power hood opener, custom red
center console, red leather boot on the shifter, and that famous
waterfall in gleaming chrome between the seats. LED custom lighting
enhances the interior throughout including the trunk
compartment.
This riding experience duplicates extreme comfort while enjoying
the sound system with such classic new unique upgrades.
Exterior
It has a new stunning color combo of Pearl White and Silver Cove
metallic paint that shines and looks great from all angles. Fit and
finish are excellent throughout, as is expected on this extreme
custom level of a Corvette.
