Sizzle! This smoking Fairlane 500 convertible has got the heat. At
the heart is a fiery little 347 stroker with some performance
upgrades you are going to love! High quality professional
rotisserie restoration by Muscle Car Restoration, a high end shop
in Oklahoma. Head turner that is extremely easy on the eyes too.
Time to feel the burn!!
EXTERIOR: The red is just pretty, and the functional Super Stock
fiberglass hood with scoop is just tough. Looking down the side of
the body it is 100% laser straight with smooth contours and crisp
lines. All the panels are well aligned and the doors close easily
with minimal effort. The Candy Apple Red paint is gorgeous with a
smooth and reflective finish. All the chrome is nice and straight
and shiny. The front grille, headlights and taillights are all in
great shape. It has dual side mirrors and a white power convertible
top. It is rolling on a set of Magnum 500 wheels with reproduction
Polyglass GT F60 tires. No disappointments here!
INTERIOR: Beautiful red deluxe interior! The refinished bucket
seats look and feel great. The center console with storage
compartment is very practical and the Hurst 4 speed manual shifter
is a blast to throw around. The rear seat was also recovered to
match and has seatbelts as well. The door panels, carpet and dash
pad have all been replaced. The gauges and bezel are both in great
shape. An aftermarket tachometer has been added to the steering
column and extra gauges added under the dash to monitor the vitals.
It also has a nice fat steering wheel that gives you a fantastic
grip. All the interior lights are working and it has a nice red
boot for when the convertible top is down.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has some TNT under the hood! A blueprinted
and balanced 347 stroker making over 425 is nicely upgraded
including: roller rockers, aluminum Edelbrock heads, dual plane
Edelbrock intake, Quick Fuel carb plus a Pertronix Flame Thrower
distributor and coil. Long tube stainless steel headers flank the
sides. It has been retrofitted with a modern "Old Air" heat and a/c
system. An aluminum radiator with dual electric fans keeps it
running cool. Other features that make it a pleasure to drive are
power brakes and upgraded Borgeson power steering. The squirters
and horns are hooked up. The underside of the functioning Ram Air
hood is painted red just like the body. The fender wells and
firewall are both neatly painted black.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the trunk lid and jamb are
painted slick just like the body. Inside is complete with a jack
assembly, lug wrench and trunk mat. They even spent the money and
bought a 5th matching Magnum wheel and reproduction tire. Under the
mat is all solid metal that is painted body color as well.
UNDERSIDE: Completely refinished and looking good! The steering
system has been completely gone through and works well. It has a
beefy front sway bar. The suspension is also looking good with
upgraded adjustable front shocks and Ridetech HQ rear shocks. The
rear leaf springs have a fresh look as well. It's equipped with
front disc brakes and the emergency brake is hooked up. The exhaust
is upgraded with long tube headers and Xlerator mufflers. The gas
tank and fuel pump were both replaced as well. Looking up at the
347 stroker everything is nice and clean with nearly applied black
paint. The top loader 4 speed manual looks great and has a
hydraulic clutch assembly. Nicely refinished 9" rear end with 3.50
gears. The floors are all solid and rust free with a neatly applied
coat of red oxide primer.
SERVICE: We thoroughly inspect each of our cars. This one got the
reverse lights fixed, adjusted the choke, tightened the shifter
ball, fixed the turn signal cancel, gave it an alignment,
recalibrated the tachometer, installed a new battery, replaced the
hood springs, adjusted the windows to the top, adjusted left rear
window track and made adjustments to the power brake booster.
Blistering! I'm excited about this one because I know it checks all
the boxes. It's a red hot looking rotisserie restoration that you
just don't see very many of. Get ready for some scorching fun!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
