1962 Chevrolet Biscayne, 2 door. (NOTE: this car was not an original 409 equipped car. I rebuilt the car to look and drive like a car I owned when I was 19 years old) 409 'X' marked engine with an estimated 425 horse power. Engine was re-built several years ago, (by a local, So. Cal builder, still in business by-the-way) and has an estimated 5K miles on it. I have all the receipts for parts and labor. Competition roller cam, Competition pistons, .030 oversized, 10:1 ratio (so it runs on the available pump fuel), Competition forged steel rods, Stock 409 crankshaft, .030 undersized. 409 heads (425 HP size valves) with pinned studs and roller rockers. Stock, silver colored valve covers. New style dual AFB four barrel carburetors with an Edlebrock manifold. Electric fuel pump. Stock style, reproduction air cleaner. 'Transistor ignition in a stock distributor, Nickel steel competition headers connected to stock style mufflers with resonators. When running, exhaust note is mellow, not loud or rumbling. Transmission is a rebuilt Borg Warner Super T-10, 4-speed (new syncro's, bushings, seals). Rear end is stock Chevrolet with positraction and 4:11 gears. Rear suspension is 3 link, recent rebuild with Global West components. Both rear and front suspension parts are powder coated. Front suspension is stock, with new upper and lower ball joints, New upper and lower 'A' arm bushings. Steering gear is recently rebuilt. New standard brakes (this includes master cylinder, all wheel cylinders and wheel hardware)(no automatic adjusters). Wheels are stock style with "dog dish" style hub caps. Wheel sizes: 15X6 front. 15X7 rear. Front tires: P205/75R. Rear tires: P235/75R. This car has NO power steering, NO power brakes and NO air conditioning. There is NO radio. There is an after market clock in the dash. (It's not stock, but it doesn't look too out-of-place) There is a cabin heater. Everything electrical works! The unpadded dash of this car is painted black. Carpet is reproduction (salt & pepper) red. The standard bench front and rear seats are covered with black (vinyl?), old school tuck and roll. The front floor pans have been replace with new reproduction floor pans. The trunk is painted light grey with white speckling. It has reproduction carpet/pads. There is a spare tire and a working bumper jack assembly. All the window and door weather stripping has been replaced. This car is licensed in (and is current) California and has 'Y,O,M,' (year of manufacture) plates. About the photos: Just advise if there is something specific you'd like a better shot of. The shots of the undercarrriage are about as good as I can do. I do not have access to a lift.
