The 1955 and 1956 Ford line of cars was an all new body style to
keep up with the surging Chevrolet and Plymouth cars of the same
era. 6-cylinder and V8 engine variants were offered. Also a big
offering was optional seat belts that were a dealer installed
option and not from the factory. The Sunliner was the top of the
line Fairlane and is a power convertible top. This particularly
clean driver quality Sunliner is in excellent condition both
cosmetically and mechanically. The original drivetrain has been
swapped out for a more modern 302 V8 with upgrades like a modern
aluminum radiator for use of drivability. Everything else has been
gone through as well and like fuel system, brakes, wheel cylinders
and anything else that may have needed attention. The paint, top
and interior are all very nice and everything is in nice working
condition. This Sunliner has been lovingly cared for and serviced
by a Ford collector. From what we can tell, the car has no needs to
be bought and enjoyed immediately. We encourage any questions and
inspections. There is no way you could restore this car for the
money being asked.
