Vehicle Description
1948 Nash Super 600 Why This Car Is Special The Nash 600 was a
series of cars introduced for the 1941 model year. The 600 was
offered as a coupe, two or four door sedan, and fastback sedan, all
of which featured a 2.8L inline six engine as a powerplant.
Notably, the 600 is widely credited with being the first mass
produced American car to use unibody construction. While introduced
in 1941, production of the Nash 600 was suspended from 1942 until
1945 due to WW2. After the war, production resumed for the 1946
model year until the 600 was discontinued in 1949. We have a 1948
Nash 600 here at Skyway Classics that looks just as it did back in
the day. Features 1948 Nash 600 172 cubic inch engine produced a

is a 172 cubic inches and produced a whopping 82 horsepower with a
top speed of 73 mph and purrs like a kitten. It runs with that
legendary smoothness all inline sixes are known for. The engine
sits in a clean, painted, and original looking engine compartment
while backed up by the 3-speed manual transmission that shifts well
and the car rides tight and smooth on its steel wheels with the
chrome hubcaps and white wall tires. The 1948 Nash was designated
the 600 because it could cruise 600 miles on a tank of gas. The
three-speed shifter on the steering column was standard for the
rear-wheeled drive train with overdrive. Interior This Nash is
obviously a well-maintained older restoration with the tan cloth
bench seat, tan carpets, matching door panels, factory dash,
controls, and gauges, factory tan steering wheel, matching rear
seat, clock, radio, and chrome tissue dispenser too. The trunk area
looks original as well with what appears to be the original mats
and a fifth full size tire and wheel as a spare. Exterior The
two-tone blue with the grey top paint shows exceptionally well, and
the chrome still has a near showroom shine. The car has no evidence
of rust and the panel gaps are uniform and tight. It has a
full-size front windshield visor, chrome hood ornament, chrome
bumpers and bumper guards, fat fenders, vent wings, chrome mirrors,
and a fantastic looking front grill. Conclusion This 1948 Nash 600
we have here at Skyway Classics is a very rare classic car that is
reliable with a the 6-cylinder engine and virtually indestructible
transmission, that is a dream to own and drive. Only the clock and
radio are inoperable and these Nash€s have quite the following
and rarely stay on the market long. So give us a call at
