Vehicle Description
The 1950 Ford F1 is a classic American pickup truck known for its
durability, strength, and iconic design. The Ford F1 was the reason
Ford Motor Company is still pumping out millions of vehicles each
year. They established a base of customers that needed and enjoyed
their product. These very capable utility pickups were the
foundation of the USA. They provided an essential tool and also
capable of getting into town or attending Church on Sunday.
This example is powered by a 350 Vortec V8 crate engine paired with
a 700R4 automatic transmission with lock up converter from Summit
when the motor was purchased. Other features include a Moser
Engineering rear axle with 411 gears and 4 wheel disc brakes,
aluminum radiator, power leather seats, CD player and Cragar wheels
and tilt column. The build has 5,000 miles since it was
completed.
Ford's 1st F-series generation lasted from the 1948-1952 model
years but significantly changed in appearance from year to year
making each version unique and pretty rare. While trucks sold well,
most were obviously used work heavy workloads leaving few surviving
examples in excellent condition.
