This is a quick rundown on the major points of the truck. If you're interested, I will give you every detail, good, bad, or indifferent. It is a very nice truck with a professional paint job, has a few small imperfections, some cool upgrades, and 10 years of my life. I give you my word that I will be honest to you about everything.
I never planned on selling, but life changes, and it makes sense for me right now to move on from it.
Located in Stillwater Oklahoma
This is a 1970 truck with a 71 front grill and bumper. It has an excellent paint job and virtually no rust anywhere. I picked it up as a Grain Mill shop truck in the California central valley. It showed all the wear of that, but fortunately was parked inside every night since 1970.
Vintage air installed and works perfectly.
The bench seat is reupholstered in plain black leather. There is one small imperfection I will point out. The plan was to restore bucket seats and replace it, but unfortunately I never got there.
Has a 5/7 static drop, and sits perfect IMHO. It's been lowered with drop spindles (with disc brakes) in the front and springs only in the back. Frame was notched and a CPP frame support welded in.
The rear end is from a mid 90's chevy that pushes the wheels out about 1" on each side to be even with the fronts, and is 3.73 Limited slip.
Has a driveshaft with a slip yoke and solid Billet carrier bearing to maintain good geometry with the lowered frame.
Cab and doors are sound deadened and heat protected. You can have a normal conversation with the windows rolled up and in the air conditioning like a regular person!
Has two 6x9's in the doors and an amp under the seat. Nothing outrageous, but works great.
The engine and transmission are 350/350. The engine is pretty basic, it can roast the tires, but you won't be pulling wheelies.
I just cruise this thing and enjoy it. If you are looking to do the same this is the one for you.
It's a head turner and IMHO usually the best c/10 at the local car shows.
The photos are ones I had in my phone, you can see some dust, not trying to church anything up.
The picture at the gas station had LED lights that really made the paint pop. Just gives you an idea of the quality of the paint job.
