Vehicle Description
Miles exempt on FL title.
Beautiful 1940 Ford Deluxe Sedan.
Next to the Lincoln Zephyr of the same year it is the most
recognizable and beautiful cars of the era.
This was the first year for the steering column shift which Ford
dubbed "Finger-Tip Shift".
Also, the Forty Ford had sealed beam headlights.
Big Flathead V-8 was a moonshiner's favorite for getting the goods
to the customer and away from the law.
The 1940 Ford had the 24 stud Head which was 239 Cubic Inches and
rated at 95 Horse Power.
This car was restored 8 years ago and is very solid.
There is a small scratch on the right rear fender which could be
spotted very economically.
Car was mechanic owned and runs and drives great.
Recently tires were replaced.
Replaced carburetor, plugs, wires, points coil, fuel filter,
distributor cap, condenser, clock and more.
The engine leaks a little oil but like the Wright R-1820 radial
aircraft engine if it isn't dripping oil then there is none.
It has dual exhaust with Ford script tail pipe tips.
This is an original 6-volt, positive ground car that has been
restored as close as possible to original.
Very clean underneath.
Another unique feature besides the ignition lock is the rear window
operation.
Turn the window crank one way and the window rolls back, rotate in
the opposite direction and the window rolls down.
Original Ford tool kit and jack included in the sale.
Car cover and bracket to mount front license plate.
Seat belts, and functional turn signals, and an electric fuel
pump.
Although spare tire is not included with the vehicle it is easily
replaced.
AACA display sign is also included.
There is not a nicer car out there for the money.
