Vehicle Description
The 1947 Mercury is visually distinguished from its Ford siblings
by handsome chrome and stainless-steel trim and a wide, imposing
grille. Finished in tan with an abundance of polished
stainless-steel and chrome trim, there is no mistaking this Mercury
for anything other than an emblem of success and good taste. This
classic's handsome styling is complemented with a set of five-spoke
mag wheels wrapped with Cooper Cobra G/T tires staggered 215/65R15
front and 245/60R15 rear for the perfect hot rod stance.
The custom interior features two-tone black and tan bucket seats
both front and rear, separated by a custom fabricated full-length
console with cup holders, trimmed in wood, running from the dash to
between the rear seats. Matching wood trim adorns the door panels
as well. Other interior amenities include air conditioning, power
driver's seat, Equus Pro Tach tachometer, power windows, tilt
steering column, custom wood-rimmed steering wheel and a Dual brand
AM/FM/CD/MP3 player radio. The trunk is trimmed to match the
interior as well.

end. The engine is equipped with a Weiland intake manifold,
4-barrel carburetor, finned aluminum valve covers, aluminum
open-element air cleaner and an aluminum radiator with electric
fan. The engine sounds great thanks to Hedman headers that flow out
through rumbling cherry-bomb style mufflers. The handling of this
classic has been upgraded significantly with an updated front
suspension system that features rack and pinion steering and power
front disc brakes.
