The 1960 Ford Sunliner convertible epitomized the stylish vibe of
the 1960s. Its clean lines, combined with chrome trim and a
low-slung stance, gave the Sunliner a distinctively elegant yet
sporty look. The Sunliner remains a classic symbol of American
automotive design, blending style, power, and open-air freedom.
This Ford Galaxie 500 Sunliner has been the beneficiary of a total
professional restoration and won First Place at an ACCA National
event. The exterior was refinished in Monte Carlo Red and is
outstanding. Accents include rear fender skirts, front/rear bumper
guards, polished trim and an abundance of beautiful chrome.
BFGoodrich Silvertown wide-white bias tires are mounted on 14"
steel wheels w/factory full wheel covers. A power convertible
top/window is in excellent condition and tinted glass is used in
all the windows. The interior has been completely restored.
Handsome red/black vinyl tufted upholstery was used for seating and
door cards. The classic dash holds factory gauges and the original
AM sound system. Power is furnished by a rebuilt 352ci/2V FE
engine, the top engine option for the Sunliner in 1960, that was
rated at 235hp. Recent service includes a carb rebuild, oil change
and new battery. The FE is backed by a 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic
automatic transmission and factory differential w/2.91:1 gearing.
The spotless chassis is equipped with power steering, power drum
brakes (all new components), dual exhaust and a new fuel tank. This
Monte Carlo Red Sunliner is a stunning example of Ford's premier
convertible in the early '60s. It deserves to be in your Blue Oval
collection. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS.
