For Sale: 1973 Chevrolet El Camino SS in Concord, North Carolina
Back in the late 1950's, the folks at GM decided that they had best
create a sedan-utility vehicle in response to the Ford Ranchero.
The Chevrolet El Camino was born and a total of five generations
were produced. This 1973 model is a member of the fourth generation
(1973-77) and is based on the F-Body platform of GM mid-size cars
of the era. The El Camino SS has been partially restored and is in
overall good condition. (A binder of maintenance/receipts is
included.) The exterior has been refinished in Dark Red Metallic
(code74) with a white vinyl top. Accents include factory stripping,
sport mirrors, GM Rally wheels w/Nexen 14" radials and a full bed
mat. The interior has been refreshed and features center console
w/shifter, factory SS spoke tilt wheel and optional 'swivel' driver
bucket seat. New loop carpet has been recently installed along with
upgraded circuit board technology for the factory tach package. It
is nicely optioned with air conditioning, power tinted windows,
power locks, tilt wheel, cruise and Delco restored AM/FM/8-track
sound system. The El Camino is powered by the optional 350ci
small-block with 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust. Recent
upgrades include new HEI distributor w/wires, alternator, battery
and water pump. The radiator has also been serviced. The small
block is backed by a TH-350 3-speed automatic transmission and
positraction differential. Chassis features include power steering
and power disc/drum brakes . Original examples of the El Camino SS
are becoming rare indeed. This truck deserves to be in the hands of
a new owner who appreciates it - why not you? ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS
IS".
