This is a piece of jewelry on wheels! One of the nicest
restorations I've seen, and I've seen a lot! Winner of the very
prestigious CCCA 1st place Premier award and Cadillac LaSalle Club
Senior winner. This is a genuine classic as determined by the
Classic Car Club of America. The car looks fresh too, it's not aged
looking at all. This was considered a luxury car in 1929 costing
$2,625 new, the Ford Model A started at $385!
EXTERIOR: This is a thing of beauty. You don't even have to be an
old car lover to be enamored by this one. This handsome Victoria
style 5 passenger sedan is cited in a beautiful multi color paint
scheme. The fit and finishes are so pristine. The body work is
absolutely straight, no rust, no damage. The doors shut solid! The
paint is polished like glass, every inch of it. The glass was all
replaced. The windshield cranks down a few inches and has a
beautiful glass visor. All of the chrome is show quality. Up front
it proudly displays big chrome headlights with matching smaller
versions on the fenders. In back is a set of dual headlights and
bumperettes with a spare tire centered in between. The rubber
running boards were restored as well as the vinyl roof. The wheels,
they are beautiful! Completely restored with varnished wooden
spokes that match the color of the roof. The white walls are white!
Not an old dirty yellowed whitewall. As of now a chrome hub is
missing. The 2 prestigious awards are proudly displayed on the body
as 2 small ornate emblems. As a young boy we only had cars from
this era. I remember seeing the CCCA emblem on a classic car and
being very impressed, that would be the crowning jewel!
INTERIOR: Meticulously restored just like it was on the showroom
floor in 1929. The seats were rebuilt and upholstered in mohair.
The passenger seat flips forward to give access to the back seat.
The driver seat has a big chrome knob that you twist and the seat
adjusts back and forward. The carpet, side panels, headliner and
welting around the doors were all replaced. Even the bits and
pieces were restored like new: the cranks and handles, controls,
steering wheel, beveled mirror, wood trim etc. The gauges are in
mint shape with the odometer showing only 95 miles since
restoration. It also has an optional clock and turn signals were
added. Can you imagine using hand signals! A cigar lighter pulls
out of the dash attached to a cloth wrapped cord on a retractable
reel. I also love the rear window shades, a real touch of class.
Can you believe that even the interior lights work!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a 328 V-8 motor with a whopping 40 hp!
Again, comparing it to a Ford Model A, that only had an inline 4
cylinder. It is rebuilt and runs wonderfly. It starts right up. It
is also restored to look new with correct pieces and finishes.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The humpback trunk really adds to the good looks
this car has. Inside is fully carpeted matching the interior.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame and completely restored. The
components were rebuilt and every piece was restored to look
beautiful too.
Don't bother cleaning out the garage, make a spot in your living
room for this one! It will look great sitting there but getting it
out for a drive will be a wonderful experience!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
