Vehicle Description
The throwback to the 1950's became a real styling cue for the Big-3
in the early 2000's. Some of the designs took off, but for the most
part was a fad that would not last that long. in 2003, Chevrolet
introduced the SSR which was a throwback to the the 1950's
Chevrolet pickup. This retro-styled vehicle was built through 2006
and would feature a 5.3 liter for the first tw0-years that produced
300HP and then would be upgraded for the last two-years using a 6.0
liter pushing out nearly 400 HP which could achieve a 0-60 time in
under 6 seconds. This vehicle would feature a retractable power
hardtop that would be designed by German designer Karmann and built
by ASC. With a total of just over 24,000 units built in four years,
there was some speculation on collectability which is why there are
several out there with extremely low mileage. This particular
example has just 20,000 miles and is a true 0ne-owner from new
which was a SSR enthusiast. This SSR does also have the gauge
cluster as well as new bed slats and rear deck shocks. This SSR
starts, runs, idles and goes down the road like it should with
everything in working order. It comes with clean carfax and
carcover. I did take pictures of some of the cosmetic flaws and we
encourage any questions or concerns.
