1982 Chevrolet Corvette ... The end of an era!
Mileage – around 37,000 miles
This Corvette has a 350cu.in. Crossfire Injected V-8 labeled L83. The '82 Corvettes adopted a Cross-Fire Injection system, to become the first fuel injected Corvette since 1965 and the first time ever a Corvette came with an electronic fuel injection system. The fuel injection system looks like a cross-ram set-up, which looks good in the engine bay. The Cross-Fire's higher level of sophistication added 10 horsepower.
GM also gave it a new four speed automatic transmission ... 3speed + OD...to add to its drivability. This was the first year since 1955 that you could not order a Corvette with a manual transmission.
Power Windows - Power Steering – Driver Side Power Seat - Power Disc Brakes – Smoked-glass T-Tops – Power Windows – N90 aluminum wheels - Garaged - Nice weather driven only.
It was painted white (the original color) about seven years ago... and has a longitudinal gray-blue stripe running the length of the car which is a perfect accent on the C3. The interior is red and is in good condition.
The brakes were updated to Wildwood disk brakes, eliminating a leaking issue common to oem brakes of this era.
The 1982 Corvette brought a close to the C3 generation of the Corvette, and was the first year all Corvettes were produced in Bowling Green, Kentucky, as they are to this day.
