This 1984 Jeep CJ-7 is an all steel, rust free CJ that spent its
life in Arizona. This is another desert cruiser that has been well
cared for. The body on this Jeep is clean and we found no evidence
of rust or rust repair on the Jeep. The original color of this Jeep
was Sebring Red but it was repainted what looks to be Garnet Red.
The paint still looks nice. It still has the original stock
bumpers. They added some aftermarket tube steps at some point and
it has a Bestop soft top with soft doors that is still in nice
condition. The underside is really clean as you would expect for a
vehicle from the SouthWest.
The interior is your basic Jeep interior and is in nice shape. The
front seats have been replaced and upgraded with what we believe
are Bestop seats. The rear seat is the factory bench. It has a
factory roll bar with that was extended to the front for safety.
The carpet is newer and covers the front and back. The headlights,
taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The
gauges all work. The horn and windshield wipers work. The heat
works. This is a factory AC Jeep and the system is complete but the
AC is not blowing cold.
Mechanically this Jeep is great and it runs and drives great too!
The engine is the factory 4.2L Inline 6 (258) that runs strong with
no issues or red flags that we found. It recently had a new
Carburetor and Radiator installed recently. The transmission is the
T5 Manual 5 Speed that shifts nice with a good clutch. It is mated
to the Dana 300 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. The
rear axle is the AMC 20 with 3.31 gears. The front axle is a Dana
30 with 3.31 gears. It has a 2 1/2 Inch lift with newer springs,
shocks, stainless brake hoses, heavy duty shackles, and quick
disconnect sway bar. This is all sitting on a nice set of factory
chrome wheels with 31 Inch All Terrain tires.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate
representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show
you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
