Description:
This go-kart is reportedly one of eight examples built by Junior
Replicas of Brazil in the style of the 1956 Chevrolet Corvette SR
prototype. It was constructed in 2012 and is said to have undergone
a refurbishment in 2023 that reportedly included the installation
of a replacement 6.5-horsepower Buffalo air-cooled single. The
fiberglass bodywork is finished in cream with blue coves and
over-the-top stripes over a tubular steel chassis, and equipment
includes a three-speed sequential transmission with a drive chain,
a coilover suspension, rear drum brakes, 8? gold-finished wheels,
functional lighting, a horn, and bucket seats trimmed in red
vinyl.
Interior:
The cockpit features bucket seats trimmed in red vinyl along with
color-coordinated door panels and a painted fiberglass dashboard,
center console, and floors. Black rubber floor mats are fitted. The
Italian-made three-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a
quick-release hub ahead of faux instrumentation and controls for
the horn and lights.
Exterior:
The fiberglass bodywork on this go-kart is finished in cream with
blue coves and over-the-top stripes. Equipment includes functional
headlights, driving lamps, signal lamps, taillights, and fog lights
as well as a wire-mesh grille, a plexiglass windscreen, a
driver-side mirror, white #1 roundels, an opening decklid and dual
faux exhaust pipes. The gold-painted steel wheels wear faux
knock-off hubs, and they are mounted with 5.70-8 bias-ply
tires.
Drivetrain:
The replacement Buffalo air-cooled single was installed in 2023,
and it was factory rated at 6.5 horsepower. A replacement battery
was installed by the selling dealer, and an oil change was also
performed. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed
sequential transmission with reverse as well as a drive chain.
