For Sale: 1965 Ford Mustang GT in Cadillac, Michigan

1965 Mustang Fastback K Code GT350 R MODEL Tribute Car that took many years to complete. This car was purchased from the original owner as a GT350R tribute project. The previous owner, who is a mustang fanatic himself, started collecting many authentic GT350 Shelby / R model parts throughout the years. These rare parts in combination with the attention to detail, is something you won't find in many of these other tribute builds. This original rust free K code Mustang was brought right down to the shell on a rotisserie and covered in red oxide primer. It was even seam sealed to replicate the application method in 1965. I eventually took over the build, all the rare parts, and combined forces with a high end restoration shop. Here it was painted and topped off with 6 coats of clear! The undercarriage, wheel wells and aprons were correctly oversprayed for the correct look. We went as far to use the Shelby - koni bolts for the shock towers holding down the Koni Shocks. Details include the cowl reinforcement brace, Corvair battery tray, heater delete, dash pad delete, so on and so forth. At this point if you understand what I'm describing, you'll understand what you're looking at. On the exterior, I did add chrome around the windows and windshield wipers to "finish it off." The interior: I went on the nice side of race, such as adding a headliner, glove box and interior lights. These few things made it a bit more aesthetically pleasing to the average eye. Additionally I coated the floor and interior panels in raptor liner, giving everything a nice finish. The floor mats even were altered to get a rubber backing so not to slide on the coated floor. Inside of the doors, roof and undercarriage tunnel were coated for heat and sound. Vintage 4 point seat harnesses with 1965 labels attached. Vintage NOS fire extinguisher. Real wood Shelby steering wheel. Authentic Shelby fiberglass racing seats, Correct horn switch on dash, Roll bar, Shelby override traction bars.
