1986 911 in excellent shape. I bought the car in 1992. The car had been stored for 10 years I was told. It had 44,000 miles on it. Its a San Diego car since new. I did all the necessary maintenance that a car that has been sitting needs, such as refinishing the inside of the fuel tank, new bushings on the suspension, new front struts, replaced all fluids, redid the air conditioning including the interior fans and blowers, complete tune-up, (plugs, plug wires, valve adjustment, electric and fuel injection service and settings). Later, I added a performance chip to the fuel injection and a larger throttle body. The motor is strong. I had the larger Porsche calipers (the black) and cross drilled rotors installed with a 930 master brake cylinder to handle the need for more brake fluid. I had to get 17-inch wheels to accommodate the larger brakes. I had replica Fuchs installed, 7x17 front and 9x17 rear. New Michelin Pilot Sport fronts (205x17) and 5000-mile rears (255x17). The suspension is tight and the car handles, stops and accelerates as a well-cared for air-cooled 911 should. The suspension is set to European specifications, and the front of the car sits a bit lower than the rear. It has a good look. The interior is very clean with power leather sport seats. All maintenance performed by Black Forest Automotive. All records of service since I have owned the car. Ther car has had a minor service once a year, oil change, brake fluid and minor adjustments. The car has had a major service every 15,000 miles, complete tune-up, valve adjustment, and anything deemed necessary by Black Forest. It's the 3.2 flat 6 with the 5-speed transmission. All numbers match. I had the transmission rebuilt. The air conditioner works. It is a really nice 911. Needs a new radio. Howard (858) 610-7025
