Cruisin Classics is pleased to present to you this 1980 Chevrolet
C-10 Silverado. This great-looking square body comes to us today
dressed in a two-tone gold and black paint job in driver condition.
Up front, you'll find a very cool custom grille with black
horizontal round steel bars flanked by round headlights in square
bezels - all framed in bright trim with a gold-painted bumper
beneath. Looking at the truck from the side shows off the two-tone
look with a gold body split by a large black band and topped off
with a black roof. Adding to the attractive profile are bright dual
side mirrors, wheel lip molding, drip rail molding, chrome door
handles (hazy with age), and "Silverado" fender badges. The icing
on the cake is a set of 5-spoke aluminum American Racing wheels all
wrapped in a newer set of white-letter BF Goodrich Radial T/A's - a
perfect complement to the look of this truck. Around the back are
wrap-around taillights, a tow hitch receiver, and a gold-painted
bumper with a diamond-plate top and stampings that say "SPIVEY
CHEV. INC." and "BENTON, ARK.". The bed is topped with a nice black
vinyl snap-on tonneau cover. Under the cover, in the bed, is a
carpet mat, a full spare, the original black plastic egg crate
grille with gold bowtie, the original headlight bezels (hazy), and
a rubber protective cover on the inside of the tailgate.
Lift the hood to reveal a black engine bay with a 350 V-8 at the
center. The V-8 is topped off with a stock intake, black valve
covers, a 2-barrel carburetor, and a chrome Summit air cleaner.
Other highlights under the hood include power steering, power
brakes (front discs, rear drums), and headers that lead back to
dual exhaust with mufflers and exit behind the rear wheels with a
nice rumble. The V-8 is mated to a TH350 3-speed automatic
transmission that sends power to the rear wheels via a 10-bolt rear
end.
When you open the driver's door of this C-10 you're greeted with a
nice gold and black interior. The gold-painted steel doors feature
black plastic half-door panels, crank windows, and vent windows.
The black vinyl bench seat is in great condition with no rips or
tears. The floor is covered in black carpet and overhead is a gold
steel roof with no headliner, just dual black visors. The black
vinyl dash pad is crack-free and in good condition. The gauge bezel
has been outfitted with all-new Intellitronix white-face gauges
that look fantastic in the dark with their illuminated numbers and
red sweep needles - a great upgrade. There are new gauges for
volts, oil, fuel, and temp as well as a 160mph speedometer and
tachometer. The digital odometer reads 84 miles, which we imagine
is the mileage since these gauges were installed. To the right of
the gauge cluster are controls for the working heat and fan and to
the left are controls for the lights and the working 2-speed
wipers. The factory radio slot is now filled by a JVC
AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth stereo that plays your cruisin' tunes through a
dash speaker and 2 6X9s behind the bench seat. Directly ahead of
the driver is a black leather-wrapped steering wheel on a fixed
column with a column shifter for the automatic transmission.
If you're in the market for a square-body that looks great but
won't break the bank then take a look at this '80 C-10! Its got
tons of great visual appeal with its two-tone paint, custom grille,
and excellent wheel/tire combo as well as a comfortable interior
with new gauges, a good-sounding stereo, heat, and working wipers!
You'll certainly be hard-pressed to find another C-10 of this era
in this level of condition for what we're asking for it! Don't
