Recently Restored 1969 Dodge Dart GTS with a 383 and a 4 speed.
Returning for its sophomore year-with its unique trim, graphics, and blacked-out grille was the luxo-preformance model of the compact car's lineup, This example, in Copper over black vinyl, has received a thorough, four year rotisserie type restoration that incorporated many OEM components. It also has the rare H-code 383 engine and a 4 speed transmission. The 383-cu.in. OHV V8 factory rated at 330hp-is original to the car and was rebuilt during the restoration. It has approximately 600 miles on it and starts, idles, and runs well, with no smoke and no leaks. The 4 speed gearbox shifts very well. In 2016 the exterior was painted T2 Copper, as per the fender tag and the exterior remains in "perfect" condition with no blemishes or swirls. The exterior chrome and trim are in very good condition, while the panel fitment and panel gaps are very straight and even, The glass and seals are perfect. There's no rust in the body and all the lighting works normally.
Inside the Dart's restored black vinyl interior is in very good condition and reflects the handful of miles added to the car since the restoration was complete. There is essentially no visible wear in the carpet or upholstery, along with the headliner, door panels, dash pad and other interior trim. The heator and gauges operate normally. A new period correct digital radio has been added.
The chassis and suspension elements have been restored to stock specs and are in very good condition. With the 383 engine , the Dart GTS received heavier -duty torsion bars, while shoehorning the big-block meant manual steering and brakes were a must. The car rolls on BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires that are like new and mounted on restored Ralley wheels ,blemish free.
