1956 Ford Mainline is a triumph of detail and high-performance. A
winner at Seattle Roadster show, winner at Portland Roadster show,
winner of the Cruizin to the Stars "Best Ford" just to name a few.
The combination of Metallic Green, Magenta, and Purple is the color
scheme that WOW's crowds at every event.
The body has been nosed, decked, shaved hood, trunk lid trim and
door handles. This custom has smooth body lines. Keyless entry with
a key fob with bear claw door latches. Custom tubular grill all
hand made. A custom rear license plate mount that conceals the gas
cap. All the side trim, front and rear bumpers have been painted.
Keeping to the full custom feel American Racing Torque Thrust II
18" chrome spoke rims and Velozza-ZXV4-225/40ZR18 and 245/45ZR18
wheels.
The Mainline is built for comfort and cruising. Front and rear
bench seats done in gray cloth upholstery with black trim. Black
carpet and custom Ford '56 floor mats. The floors have a heavy
Dynamat sound barrier under the carpets. The metal dash and all
interior trim surfaces have been done in the deep metallic
green...beautiful! A full sit of Autogages gauges plus a steering
column mounted tachometer. Under the dash mounted stereo system.
This beauty even has cruise control!
The chassis has a rear air auto leveling system with an on-board
air compressor-trunk mounted. Stopping power comes from power front
disc brakes and rear drums. Power to the ground is thanks to a Ford
9" rear with 3.50 gear. The superior ride and handling comes from
tubular shocks absorbers, coil springs, and a front sway bar. The
power steering makes parking and driving a dream.
A powerful Ford 351 Windsor V8 with a Weiand aluminum intake
manifold and a Holley 4-barrel carburetor. Custom cast aluminum air
clear and deep finned aluminum valve covers with aluminum plug wire
guides. Electronic ignition distributor and chrome alternator.
Great sound from the 2.5" dual exhaust. The 351 CID is mated to a
Ford AOD automatic with overdrive transmission.
