This 1974 Chevrolet Corvette's exterior is about giving you vintage
style with modern distinction... and it all starts with the paint.
Silver is a timeless color, but this has a metallic radiance to let
you know it's part of a solid more recent investment. The finish
also has a terrific shine to let the sunlight highlight the
well-creased lines of this Stingray. But while the design is
classic, details like the full-width rear spoiler and 17-inch Foose
polished alloys tell the world this one is also unique. And the
L88-style hood with vivid blue racing stripes announces the power
is special, too (more about that in a moment.)
The interior is quite pleasant with a fresh style and some nice
luxuries like upgraded cloth upholstery, power windows, and an
AM/FM/CD stereo with a USB input for your phone. Plus, we all love
the feeling of a Sunday drive with the T-tops out. And speaking of
hitting the road, bucket seats, an upgraded sports steering wheel,
a tilt/telescopic steering column, and a full gauge panel (with
large speedo and tach) are all about reminding you a Corvette is a
driver's car.
Under the hood is an upgrade to a 400 cubic-inch V8. It's a fully
built powerhouse that includes aluminum heads, an Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, and Hedman headers
feeding the dual exhaust. And it's even supported by everything
from a BeCool aluminum radiator to comprehensive new wiring. It's a
total package that surpasses big block power while keeping a small
block weight (no wonder it earns its L88 hood.) And because the
power is upgraded, it's now handled by a Keisler A41 modified 4L60E
four-speed automatic transmission. That means better ratios and a
stouter setup than what the factory offered in '74. Plus, not only
do you have the C3's fully independent suspension and four-wheel
disc brakes, but those Foose wheels mean you get to fit
modern/grippy tires.
