This 1965 Mustang 2+2 Fast Back was last owned for 28 years. This past owner Jim had told a friend, back in the early 90's, before internet searches, that if he knew of a solid 65 Mustang Fastback in excellent condition, with straight lines to let him know, as he wanted one. After about a year he had forgotten about making this request. He got a call from his buddy that had told him he found the Mustang that Jim was looking for. Jim went out to California to pick up the car and then drove it home to the South Dakota. So started the love of Jim's beloved 1965 Mustang Fastback. Jim eventually moved to Florida and so did the Mustang. Originally it was yellow, so Jim, being a fan of white, had it painted pearl white with a touch of purple in it (you can see the tinge of purple in certain light). Jim and his friend detailed and upgraded this Mustang, after a while Jim pulled out the 289 that was in it and put in the rebuilt 5.0, they lined the engine compartment with stainless steel, and it was entered in many car shows winning either 1st place or best engine compartment with tons of trophies. Then they added a lot of dress up lights in the interior and had the seats re-done in Mustang Pony look. This Mustang was thoroughly loved and unfortunately Jim has passed away and Jim's wife was hoping that the car can be enjoyed as much by another passionate Mustang Lover.
