Southern California MGTD has had single-family ownership for the
last 22 years. Finished in Red with a Tan interior and a Tan soft
top. The paintwork is in beautiful condition, with nice panel fit.
Exterior features include a folding windshield, fender-mounted side
mirrors, wind wings, chrome bumpers, Zelmot H3 fog lights, and a
badge bar.
The upholstery is in excellent condition, complemented by a wooden
dash. The wooden steering wheel is mounted on an adjustable
steering column in front of Jaeger instrumentation, featuring a
100-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a clock. Additional
gauges consist of a Jaeger combination gauge to monitor oil
pressure and coolant temperature, along with a Lucas amperage
gauge. Equipped with black 15? steel wheels featuring beauty rings
and MG hubcaps, mounted to 165 R15 Classic radial tires, and a
matching spare wheel and tire secured at the rear.
The owner purchased this MGTD from European Collectibles in 2003
and has driven it 7,000 miles over the last 22 years. On November
22, 2017, with 91,411 miles on the odometer, Omag Automotive
Machine Inc. was commissioned to perform the following work;
installation of an upgraded crank seal, replacement of the valve
cover gasket, and the addition of a new master brake cylinder.
It is powered by a 1250cc XPAG inline-four engine with dual SU
carburetors, rated at 54 horsepower, paired to a 4-speed manual
transmission and four-wheel drum braking system. Complete with a
car cover, spare tire, and 22 years of documented service history.
The engine needs to be rebuilt, and the MGTD cannot be driven. It
is sold in AS IS condition.
