Adventure Classic Cars is happy to offer a 1970 Challenger RT/SE
"Special Edition" "SE", often referred to as the "Black Ghost."
These rare classics are a particularly famous variant of the
Challenger muscle car, known for its mysterious history as a
dominant Detroit street racer in the 1970s, where it would appear
and disappear seemingly at random, leaving a reputation as an
undefeated and elusive vehicle due to its owner, Godfrey Qualls, a
Detroit police officer who used the car for street racing in
secret; this car is considered one of the most valuable and
sought-after Challengers due to its unique story and rarity, with
only a small number of R/T SE models being produced with the
powerful Hemi engine option in 1970.
The "SE" stands for "Special Edition" and was a package offered on
the 1970 Challenger, adding luxury features like a vinyl roof,
extra brightwork, and upgraded interior compared to the standard
model.
Under the hood, you will find a powerful 440 Magnum V8 engine
matched to a Dana rearend that gives the preferred street road and
track performance!
