EXTERIOR: Wow, gorgeous Sebring Silver, code 941a on the tag.
Everything looks good and straight and square. The headlights
function properly. No bodywork showing when looking down the sides.
Just precisely applied paint and straight panels that are properly
aligned. The soft black convertible top looks like new with new
weatherstrips also. It also has a restored hard top that matches
the exterior and interior perfectly. The one year only hood grates
look fantastic as well as all of the emblems. The bumpers have been
rechromed and the windshield looks crystal clear. The remaining
trim and door handles have a beautiful shine. It has the correct
1963 spinner hubcaps that are in great shape and wrapped in radial
tires.
INTERIOR: The cherry on the Vette... red interior against the
silver is killer! Code 490m on the tag. The door jambs are in
excellent condition and the weatherstrips were replaced. The door
panels, armrests, and cranks are all in fantastic shape. The gauge
cluster is also very nice with the correct 6500 rpm tachometer. The
dash pads were both replaced, the center section is also really
good with a working clock as well. Factory am/fm radio. The correct
1963 glove box door and the liner both look fantastic. All the
interior lights are working. Nice rubber floor mats and beautiful
red carpeting. The center console is in very good original
condition. The Hurst shifter is upgraded for nice tight shifts. The
seats and armrest have both been recovered, and behind the seats is
all recent carpeting. It has a very nice red steering wheel and the
visors look like new.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 327 came standard with 250 hp, optional was
300 hp, the high performance option is 340 hp! That what we have
here, it is a high compression motor with a hot cam, aluminum
intake, big Holley carb and more. It is identified by the finned
aluminum valve covers. equipped with the finned aluminum valve
covers. The casting and date codes are correct, the matching
numbers are stamped on the pad. It is all stock including the air
cleaner, ignition shielding, fuel filter, choke tube, exhaust
manifolds, etc. It has the extra damper pulley and deep groove
belts because of the solid lifters and higher revs. The cooling
system looks authentic including the clutch fan, shroud, and
expansion tank. All the components look proper and all the finishes
are clean.
UNDERSIDE: Underneath this car is very clean, someone took lots of
time to prep and clean the entire thing. This was the first year
for front and rear independent suspension. The steering and
suspension look to have been restored. Correct drum brakes at all
wheels and the e-brake is hooked up. The correct type dual exhaust
system is also in really nice shape with polished tips going out
through the valance. Looking up at the correct original 327 engine
is all clean Chevy Orange paint with the correct canister style oil
filter and the starter is clean. It has the correct vin # matching
4 speed manual transmission. Out back is the original 3.36 posi
rear end that is dated and coded correctly. The frame is smooth and
painted black. The floors were all prepped and painted beautifully,
it has its spare tire carrier.
SERVICE: Our shop manager thoroughly inspected this car and we
replaced the shifter ball, repaired the horn wiring, repaired the
wiper motor and replaced the spring bushings.
Colors! Awesome on this car and the fact it's a 2 topper and a 340
