Description:
This 1954 Willys M38A1 is equipped with a decommissioned
.30-caliber machine gun and a period-look radio in the rear of the
truck, and it was repainted in the current shade of green before
the selling dealer's 2024 acquisition. It is equipped with a
folding windshield, recovery points, windshield wipers, and a
jerrycan, and the truck is powered by a 134ci Hurricane F-Head
inline-four linked with a three-speed manual transmission and a
dual-range transfer case.
Interior:
The individual front seats and rear bench are trimmed in green
canvas. Details include a body-color metal dashboard, twin
transfer-case shift levers, instructional placards, a hand
throttle, and a decommissioned .30-caliber machine gun mounted
between the front seats. Instrumentation consists of a 60-mph
speedometer accompanied by gauges displaying fuel level, oil
pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage.
Exterior:
The truck is finished in green with white stars and identification
text, and it was repainted under prior ownership. Equipment
includes a folding windshield, a body-color grille, recovery
points, a jerrycan, windshield wipers, and a rope wrapped around
the front bumper. Body-color 16? steel wheels are mounted with
Firestone military tires, and a matching spare is affixed to the
rear of the body. Braking is handled by drums at each corner.
Drivetrain:
The 134ci Hurricane F-Head inline-four is equipped with a downdraft
carburetor that was serviced. Power is sent to the rear or all four
wheels through a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range
transfer case.
