Vehicle Description
When it comes to classic cars, the Tri-Five Chevys tend to hog the
spotlight in the world of General Motors. However, if you don't
always want what everyone else wants and prefer a car that will
stand out in a car show, then this 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air is the
car you've been waiting for. Originally outfitted with a two-tone
Tropic Turquoise and Arctic White exterior, this car has had a
complete shift in personality thanks to its full, beautiful black
repaint that more easily shows off its chrome accents and
streamlined form.
Inside, the custom bright red interior is the perfect contrast for
the subtle exterior. The front and rear bench seats and door panels
all retain a two-tone motif, but with a nice mix of black and red
to add even more character to this '58 Chevy. It has a radio delete
to keep the dash from looking too busy, but it has functional heat
to accompany its factory gauge setup. A two-spoke, dual-rim wheel
sits before a traditional column shifter, while the analog
dashboard clock and Bel Air badging remain just inside your
peripheral vision to remind you that no matter what time it is, it
is always a good time to be driving a Bel Air.
Under the hood, we find a clean engine bay highlighted by a classic
283 cubic-inch painted orange (in proper old-school form), while
the gold power brake booster hints that driving this car will be
more fun than work. A chrome air cleaner hides an upgraded single
four-barrel Edelbrock carburetor, while a true dual exhaust that
uses glasspack-style mufflers gives this Bel Air the throwback
sound of a 1950's small block.

This 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air rides on a relatively stock suspension
with springs, shocks, and sway bar up front, while a solid axle,
shocks, and coils are used out back. But, this car gets a set of
polished 17-inch American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels shod in
255/45ZR-17 Dayton tires to give it much better handling and
control versus those old bias ply radials and more muscle car
attitude. Power steering controls those front tires, so parking
never has to be an impromptu arm workout, even in the tightest of
spots. If you've been looking for a classic car that isn't going to
be found at every car show, then this 1958 Chevy Bel Air is it.
This one-year-wonder has all the 1950s charm you could want and is
scarce enough to stand out in a crowd anywhere it goes. Call
