BODY STYLE, LOOKS & PERFORMANCEHANDSOME, PRO-BUILT AND READY TO
CRUISE! A clean-sheet design introduced for the 1967 and built
through 1972, Chevrolet's redesigned C/K pickup trucks and their
GMC stablemates took the North American light-truck market by
storm. In addition to excellent restoration parts support, these
great-driving and stylish haulers are incredibly easy to service,
making them a hands-down favorite of restorers, customizers, and
even drag racers. Of the various 1967-1972 body styles offered,
including Fleetsides and Stepsides, the "short-box" Fleetside is
quite rare and particularly desirable today with its crisp
bodylines and sporty proportions. If this example from 1969 looks
familiar, that's because it was built for the Chicago-based rock
band Chevelle and shown in the 2021 music video for "Self
Destructor," the lead single that reached no. 1 on the Billboard
Mainstream Rock chart from the band?s ninth studio album, NIRATIAS.
Featuring stock looks on the outside, the body of this C10 has
never been dismantled in its lifetime, lending irreplaceable
integrity to this awesome custom Chevy pickup. Modifications are
limited to the inside, with updated mechanicals by the renowned
crew at The Roadster Shop.Power is delivered by a full roller 400
CI V-8, topped with throttle body fuel injection and pushing 500
horsepower through a GM 4L80E overdrive automatic transmission.
Fully upgraded suspension includes AFCO adjustable coil over shocks
front and rear, a new Roadster Shop front crossmember, sway bar,
4-wheel disc brakes, a Wilwood master cylinder, and rack-and-pinion
steering gear. The Chevy's cab features a new seat, new interior
components and new gauges. A hidden bar secures the multi-point
seat belts/harnesses. Other details include relocation of the stock
cab-mounted fuel tank to a new home underneath the cargo bed. A
full-length dual exhaust system removes the spent combustion gases
and delivers a fabulous sound. In addition to our still photos, a
link to the music video for "Self Destructor," showing the Chevy in
action, can be seen here. A great example of Chevrolet's 1967-72
"Glamour Series" pickups with select updates and local celebrity
ownership, this 1969 Chevrolet C10 "Short Box" custom pickup will
deliver plenty of enjoyment and draw admirers everywhere you take
it. Call us today to see it in person, obtain full details and make
