Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is pleased to present to you this stunning
low-mile 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. This Metallic Silver beauty
sports only 15,519 actual miles on the odometer and it's backed up
by the title and CarFax. It sure does look like it's lived a
pampered garage-kept life when you walk around it. The factory
Metallic Silver paint is still in high driver quality condition
with a great shine and very few hard-to-find minor imperfections.
The SS graphics package (SS decals on both doors the trunk and a
trio of grey stripes that wrap around the whole car at knee height)
is in very good condition and is complemented by black and grey
pinstriping that accents the curvaceous upper body lines and the
contours of the hood. The iconic single-piece front end with quad
headlights and black grill is accentuated by a black spoiler that
wraps around its bottom edge. The first thing you'll notice as you
start looking down the side is that this Monte Carlo is outfitted
with tinted glass factory T-tops - a very desirable option on these
4th generation cars! All other glass is also tinted and surrounded
by black molding, adding to the look. Continuing the black grey
theme are body-color dual sport mirrors and black door handles.
Adding a splash of bling to the side view is a set of bright chrome
Cragar wheels wrapped in perfectly fitting white letter Goodyear
Eagle GT tires. Just behind the front wheels, you'll find a set of
black Chevrolet mud flaps that keep things looking nice. At the
rear of the car is an upturned decklid spoiler flanked by clear
vertical taillights with Monte Carlo shield emblems at their
centers.
Under the hood is a clean bone-stock engine bay with a 5.0 liter
305ci V-8 at the heart. It's topped with black valve covers, a
4-barrel carburetor, and a black air cleaner. Other highlights
include power steering and factory A/C. The healthy V-8 is mated up
to a freeway-friendly 200R4 4-speed automatic overdrive
transmission that sends power to the rear wheels via a 10-bolt rear
axle with 3.73:1 non-limited-slip gears. Stopping power is provided
by power front disc and rear drum brakes.
Open the door and the courtesy lights come on and illuminate an
incredibly clean and well-preserved stock interior dressed in
Maroon. The OEM door panel looks like new and features power
windows, power locks, a driver's mirror toggle, a pull-handle, and
bright trim. The 60/40 split front bench seat with fold-down
armrest is covered in soft stain-free maroon cloth with a vinyl
base and back. The seats are exceedingly comfortable and the
driver's side is power-adjustable. In the back is a bench seat that
looks as pristine as the one up front. Ahead of the driver is a
black faux leather-wrapped 2-spoke steering wheel with an SS logo
on the horn button. The wheel is on a tilt column that is also home
to the shifter for the transmission and a blinker stalk that
doubles as a control for the intermittent wipers and the cruise
control. The maroon dash is crack and warp free and it features
black gauge and instrument bezels with a red stripe at the top and
bottom. Framed by the steering wheel are working gauges for fuel,
temp, oil, and battery as well as a speedometer and tachometer.
Down and to the right are a toggle for the passenger-side mirror
and a switch for the rear defogger while on the left is the pull
knob for the lights. In the center of the dash, you'll find the
easy-to-use HVAC controls that crank out cold A/C and hot heat with
a strong fan on demand. Beneath those controls is a Pioneer
AM/FM/CD stereo that sounds great. The original factory stereo is
in the trunk though, in case you'd like to return to a completely
stock interior. Ahead of the passenger is a glovebox (with a
working courtesy light) that contains the original owner's manual,
warranty book, maintenance schedule, and tire warranty. Overhead
are the aforementioned locking T-tops and a tight felt headliner
while underfoot is a fresh-looking factory maroon carpet kept nice
with matching carpeted floormats. Back in the trunk is a carpeted
mat, a factory spare with a jack, a set of black rubber Monte Carlo
floormats, a pair of vinyl T-top storage bags, and a courtesy light
to find what you're looking for in the dark.
Whether you're a collector, a Monte Carlo enthusiast, or just
someone who loves cool cars from the 80s, you're going to want to
take a close look at this impeccably clean car! This low-mileage
Monte is a great combination of cool styling and creature comforts
that are ready to enjoy with a turn of the key! Give our friendly
