1955 Chevrolet 3100 pickup truck. This truck build started as just
a cab and frame over 6 years ago. Now it's a reliable, fully built,
all American hot rod. Extensive work has been done to make this a
real adrenaline rush to drive, yet dependable. 95% original steel,
only the tailgate and front bed panel were replaced. When building
this truck, we tried to save as much original stuff as possible to
restore. There are less than 4000 miles on this truck since
completion, and the odometer is accurate. Here are some
specifications and goodies that have gone into this truck- • 5.7L
350 400 HP V8 crate engine; aggressive cam, headers, Vortec
"Sawtooth" heads, Quick Fuel SS carb • Muncie M22 "Rock Crusher"
transmission; fully rebuilt with new gears, bearings, seals, and
synchros • Mustang II tubular independent front suspension with big
disc brakes, drilled and slotted rotors • 9 inch posi rear axle,
completely rebuilt. New bearings, seals, brakes • 4 link coilover
rear suspension • Dual 2.5" exhaust • Factory short wheelbase
frame, partially boxed for strength • Factory style wheels, with
Chevy car dog dish caps. Custom made wide wheels in the back • All
new brake lines, hoses, fuel lines, wiring, etc. • Dual reservoir
under floor corvette master cylinder • All new interior- Kilmat
insulation, new carpet, custom upholstery, factory gauges
rebuilt/serviced and working, all new chrome knobs for the dash,
factory radio modernized to run AM/FM/AUX, factory deluxe heater
completely disassembled and restored with new core. Custom switch
panel to control fuel pump, fan, and line lock. All lights work,
interior and exterior. • Paint/body completed in 2022 Now let's get
a few things straight. This is a HOT ROD. That means there's no
power steering, no power brakes, no air conditioning, and to roll
the windows down you have to spin a weird little arm in circles.
The bodywork is decent, but not perfect. It's not unsafe, but it's
not for the faint of heart; the manual brakes
