THIS CLASSIC PICKUP STARTS AND RUNS GREAT. This 1954 Chevy 3100 pickup was restored and finished in 2017, and has lived in a garage since then. 4 speed transmission, 235 c.i. inline 6 engine. During restoration, the rusted parts were cut out and replaced. The underside of the fenders were coated with bed liner to help prevent future rust. The odometer reading of 714 miles is true since restoration. Gauges work. The orange-ish red color is an original color which was produced in 1954. The wood bed is in great shape with chrome strips between the stained oak.
The down sides-An unfamiliar driver will grind the gears when shifting, but with a little familiarity, you can avoid grinding. There are a few small chips in the paint- where the doors and hood slam.
There are very few 1954 Chevy pickups out there that still have the original engine, transmission, and body, but this is one of them!
