The Plymouth Hemi Cuda was introduced for the 1970 model year. The
Hemi Cuda was the top of the range variant for the Third Generation
Plymouth Barracuda. The Hemi Cuda was available as a Coupe or the
much rarer Convertible and was fitted with a 7.0L Hemi V8 engine.
This revered engine had an output of 425hp which was sent through
manual or automatic transmission options to the rear wheels. Due to
the large power generated by the Hemi, these cars were given
uprated suspension and structural reinforcements as well. The
Plymouth Hemi Cuda was produced until 1971.
