According to the previous owner, this Speedster was last driven in
the late 1970s before going into long-term storage for the next
four decades. The front hood, doors, and rear decklid all match
"774" stampings. The gas tank and fuel-sending unit are also
date-coded and match this 356. The interior is complete with VDO
instrumentation, speedster seats, door panels, door tops, and a VDM
steering wheel. The exterior is complete, including the chrome
windshield frame, soft-top frame, hard-top, bumpers, and 4 �" x 15"
wheels. The undercarriage is all original but will need some rust
repair, including a new battery box floor, longitudinals, and
closing panels.
Mechanically, this 356 Speedster is complete with a 1600cc engine
(Type 616/1), manual 4-speed transmission, and four-wheel drum
braking system. Complete with the Porsche Kardex, spare wheel, soft
