Largely regarded as one of the best deals on performance cars, the
C5 Corvette is powered by a 5.7L V8 that produces a strong 350
horsepower. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a smooth
shifting automatic transmission. All of this, along with four-wheel
independent suspension, and magnetic ride control make for a
wonderfully driving sports car.
The 50th Anniversary Corvette was finished in 50th Anniversary Red
over a 50th Anniversary Shale leather interior.. The carpet is
exceptionally clean and the interior is immaculate throughout. All
exterior paint is original and the burgundy over beige creates for
an appealing look especially when complemented with the Shale
retractable convertible top.
This Corvette is in great mechanical condition and has not been
modified in any way. The car runs and drives great, provides
excitement and does everything a C5 Corvette should do. The window
sticker and other original documents accompany the car.
Introduced in 1997, the "C5" generation Corvette was a radical
styling departure from the angular C4s. In addition to looking more
contemporary, the C5 featured General Motors latest technology
including drive-by-wire throttle, variable-effort steering, and
optional magnetic selective ride control suspension. With an all
aluminum LS1 5.7l V8 and lightweight composite bodywork the C5
offered performance on par with contemporary Ferraris and Aston
Martins. A 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds and a 13.3 second quarter mile
