We will start off with the exterior of this Road Runner. Down the side are laser straight and all of the gaps are even and symmetrical. It has a near perfect fit of all the fenders, doors, hood, and trunk. We can see that the glass is all excellent and was removed during the restoration and installed with all new seals and weatherstripping. Every piece of trim and stainless was installed with precision. This '68 is finished in the Honey Bronze Metallic paint that is the factory option for it. It has been wet sanded, buffed, and polished to a mirror finish that's slick as a ribbon. This Road Runner does have the N96 Fresh air hood that adorns the black stripes. Both the front and rear bumpers have been replaced along with all new tail light and headlight bezels. The grill is in excellent condition and looks to have been redone as well. To finish off the stance it's sitting on the color matched steel wheels with hubcaps and BFGoodrich Redline tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this '69. On the inside it's done in the two-tone Bronze and Saddle color combo that is also the factory option. It sports the front and rear bench seats that were completely redone with new padding and covers. All new carpet and headliner was installed as well and they did an excellent job as it has a phenomenal fit. This is a factory four speed car that features the correct floor shifter. The door panels look amazing with new panels, handles and hardware. Both the front door glass goes up and down with ease and the rear glass opens and closes with ease and an excellent fit. Looking at the dash it's equally impressive as everything looks better than you would have found off the show room floor. From the gauges to the air controls its trully stunning. Of course it has the stock steering wheel with the iconic BEEP BEEP horn. Inside the trunk is all slick just like the exterior and features the matching spare, jack and new trunk mat.
Finally, we will get the driveline of this Plymouth. Under the hood all the detail that you've seen to this point is just as evident. The inner fenders and firewall are all rock solid and look amazing. This Road Runner does have the original fender tag and the matching radiator support. The power comes from the freshly built 383 V8 engine that runs phenomenal. It's set up with the 2806301 Intake and correct 4425S Four Barrel Carb. It's dressed in the correct valve covers and the factory Air Grabber Air Cleaner. To keep it cool it has the Chrysler 2949053 Radiator. For exhaust it has the correct 2806900 & 2843992 exhaust manifolds with dual pipes and factory Mopar notched style mufflers. The 383 is mated to matching numbers D21 Four Speed transmission and factory "489" Rear End with Sure Grip 3.23 Gears. When we look under this '69 you're sure to be impressed. The floors are just as slick as the top of the car as they are finished in base boat clear coat body color. All new bushings have been installed front and rear. A new fuel tank along with new fuel and brakes lines can be seen. Everything is factory marked for judging and even the drum brakes are painted correct. This is truly a remarkable restoration that is sure to be the talk of any show or cruise you go to. Don't miss your chance to own this high quality Mopar that's ready to show or enjoy!
