5 year body off frame rotisserie restoration! The bottom side looks
just as good as the top. We have a big folder of receipts and
pictures to document the build. Amazing looks and stellar
performance; with this Chevelle you can have it all!
EXTERIOR: Super Sharp! The Burnt Copper paint is beautifully laid
out with great attention to detail. It was then polished to a
smooth and reflective finish. The SS stripes were applied under the
clear coat and you can barely feel them. Looking down the side of
the body it is nice and straight with smooth contours and crisp
lines. All the panels are well aligned with good consistent gaps.
The bumpers have been rechromed and all the trim has a beautiful
shine. The front grille and all the lights are in great shape. The
steel Cowl Induction hood really enhances the profile, and it works
too. The power convertible top vinyl is in fantastic condition.
It's sitting proud on a new set of chrome US Mags wheels that are
18" in front and 20" in back. They are wrapped in performance tires
that are also fatter in the rear.
INTERIOR: Completely redone! The sun visors, dash pad, gauge bezel,
steering wheel, carpeting, and kick panels have all been replaced.
The stereo was upgraded to a digital unit with Bluetooth
capabilities. The tilt steering column, shifter, and center console
all appear to be good originals. The seats both front and back have
both been reupholstered with matching vinyl and are equipped with
seat belts. There is a nice black vinyl boot for when the
convertible top is down. And all the interior lights are
working.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: A beefy 454 V8 makes the power! This one has
been upgraded with an Edelbrock carb, LS6 heads, a billet front
runner system, long tube headers, and a GM aluminum intake manifold
with the Winters foundry casting. The alternator, water pump, and
power steering pump are all billet aluminum as well. The master
cylinder/booster has been replaced. The radiator was upgraded with
a large aluminum unit that has dual electric fans. I'm totally in
love with the aluminum Chevrolet script valve covers, they make the
engine look tough. The Optima red top gel battery is properly
secured. The horns and squirters are hooked up. The hoses and wires
are all fresh too. The firewall and underside of the hood are
painted body color. The fenderwells are neatly painted black. The
original trim tag is still in place.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb is painted
slick like the car. It has reproduction stickers and the
weatherstrip was replaced. Inside is all clean metal painted glossy
body color. Included is a spare tire along with a reproduction tire
cover, trunk mat and well liner.
UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the frame and placed on a
rotisserie for restoration. Underneath this car is restored like
the top. The frame was stripped and then powder coated black. The
entire underbody is rust free, clean metal painted body color. All
of the steering and suspension is rebuilt. It has lowering springs,
swaybars front and back, and boxed rear control arms. All new fuel
system including the tank. The brake system was completely redone.
It has disc in front and drum in back, and the e-brake is hooked
up. New brake lines and fuel lines. Custom fat stainless Pypes
exhaust with x-pipe and SS tips. Looking up at the motor it is
clean Chevy orange. New fuel pump and a high torque starter. It has
a built Turbo 400 automatic trans with an aluminum pan. A rebuilt
drive shaft leads back to a 12 bolt rear end with 4.10 posi gears
and a chrome cover.
SERVICE: After performing our thorough inspection we recalibrated
the speedometer, repaired the convertible top switch, repaired
driver's window regulator, and adjusted a header.
All the build time and money have already been spent. Only this
left to go is drop the top, go for a cruise, and have some fun!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
