Seven Hills Motorcars is proud to offer this stunning 1985
Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS in amazing condition with only 88,773
original miles. This Monte Carlo looks spectacular, runs great, and
is an excellent driver. It is clean, and totally solid with great
lines. The Black (19) over Maroon Cloth is a beautiful and highly
desirable color combination that looks great on the car. It is also
the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on
the trim tag and the copy of the window sticker, which are both
pictured in this ad. This is an excellent opportunity to own a
classic Monte Carlo with low miles that is ready to be used and
enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now
and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as
the market on the 4th Generation Monte Carlos is strong right now
and on the rise. The low original mileage is verified not only by
the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title showing the
mileage as "Actual." Please peruse all of the photos, video, and
information to get a true sense of how nice, clean, and original
this Monte Carlo Super Sport really is.
As a side note, this Chevrolet Monte Carlo is not a dealer auction
vehicle. We hand-pick each car after careful inspection. Our
classics come from owners who expect their car to go to someone
that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did.
We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have
the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture.
We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel
confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the
Monte Carlo, just give us a call.
Exterior
The Black (19) exterior is in great original condition. As one can
see in the photos the finish has a terrific gloss, nice shine, and
smooth finish. The original N90 aluminum wheels are in good
condition with a bright finish and no curb rash. The Goodyear white
letter tires have plenty of tread left. There are no major
imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the
photos. As one would expect from a paintjob with this many years on
it there are some chips, some small touchups, and faint blemishes
that were too tiny to show up in the pictures, but nothing that is
really noticeable from about five or ten feet away. There is a NOS
stripe kit ready to be installed included in the sale. This Monte
Carlo has no rust issues. As one can see in the many photos of the
underside of the car, it is very clean underneath. We have included
specific photos of the rear spring mounts, rockers, lower quarter
panels, and the area's most prone to rust to show how nice this car
looks.
Interior
The Maroon interior in this Monte Carlo Super Sport is in excellent
condition. The seats have no split seams, or hardly any wear at
all. The driver seat has a small tear on the outer bolster pictured
above. The seat is not overly worn in the typical spot on the
bolster where the driver gets in and out. The carpet is also in
great condition with no holes, tears, or stains. The gauge faces
are crisp and clean and the lenses are crystal clear. The door
panels are in excellent shape and the door pulls are solid and
intact. The dash and console are in great condition with no cracks,
fading, or sun damage. The radio gets good reception and sounds
great. Most importantly, the dash has never been cut or modified
for an aftermarket installation. Please note that both seat belts
work and retract properly, this is a common problem and one item
many buyers do not think to check. This Monte Carlo has never been
smoked in; there are no burn marks and no aroma of cigarettes.
The trunk is very clean, highly detailed, and complete with the
original spare that has never been used, jack, jack base, jack
handle, and original decals still on the trunk lid.
Monte Carlo interiors from this era are not known to wear well, and
the excellent condition of this all original interior is a huge
testament to the meticulous care and attention this car has
received throughout its life and another great verification of the
very low original mileage.
Mechanical
This Monte Carlo SS seems to be in very good mechanical condition.
The engine starts right away every time, runs well, and idles
smoothly. It drives great and feels nice on the road and at highway
speeds, just what you would expect from a very well cared for
monte. In the video in this ad one can observe the car accelerating
on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears,
braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note
that there are no vibrations or strange noises and the car performs
quite well overall. The brakes do not pull to one side or the
other. The transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band.
There is no blue smoke when starting or driving the car. The car
runs cool and does not overheat. Also, the engine compartment is
beautifully clean, highly detailed, and correct as one can see in
the photos.
The horn works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights,
wipers, dash lights, indicators, power windows. All of the gauges
work. The blower for the heater and a/c works on all speeds. The
a/c also works and blows ice cold. One can observe the a/c
compressor clicking on and engaging properly in the video. There
are no "check engine" or other warning lights that stay on. Not
enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this
car.
Also, for any Monte Carlo from this era you may look at, be sure to
verify that the "service engine soon" light and "choke" light are
working correctly. The lights should go on when the key is turned
on as a confirmation that the lights are working, then quickly go
off when the car is started. A great number of these Monte Carlo's
have had the bulb removed to mask other problems. As one can
observe in the video the " service engine soon" light and "choke"
lights on this car operate just as they should, going on with the
car as a check and then going off when the engine is started.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 1985 Monte Carlo SS is in magnificent original
condition. The low miles, the beautiful original color combination,
the originality, and the excellent overall condition make this car
especially important and hard to duplicate. It is very hard to find
a Monte Carlo from this era that is still in great original
condition with low mileage as most were used and abused. This Monte
Carlo always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is
apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its
previous owners. The prices of 4th generation Monte Carlos
increased considerably over the past several years. They are secure
and wise investments for a collector. Cars like this are the
Barrett Jackson stars of the future. One could easily enjoy this
vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase
price with minimal effort.
