This 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie SLT is a really cool, clean 2nd
gen Dodge that spent most of its life in Montana and the last few
years in Kansas. This truck has a lot of cool upgrades and it is a
V10 that came from the factory with a 5 Speed Manual Transmission.
Great looking truck!! The body is clean and straight. The Bright
White and Driftwood Satin Glow paint appears to be all original and
still looks great. There is some fading on the tops of the front
fenders from the Western sun, but having a rust free truck in this
condition with a little patina is pretty cool. It is a really cool
color combo. All of the trim is original and still nice. It has a
rhino lined bed, Bushwacker fender flares, and aftermarket front
and rear bumpers. The underside is nice and clean and we found no
rust issues with this truck.
The interior is also in excellent condition. The seats, carpet,
dash, dash bezel, headliner, and door panels are all original and
still super nice. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn
signals are all working. The gauges all work. This truck has tilt
wheel and working cruise control. It was working power windows and
power locks. Power Mirrors. The horn and windshield wipers work.
The heat and AC also work. A great original interior!!
Mechanically this truck is excellent and it runs and drives
wonderful down the road even with the lift. This is one of the best
driving 2nd Gen Dodge trucks we have had! The engine is the
original 8.0L V10 that runs strong with no issues or red flags that
we found. It is totally stock besides the added Flowmaster exhaust.
It has the NV4500 5 Speed Manual transmission that shifts nice with
a good clutch. It is mated to the np241 transfer case and the 4WD
works like it should. The rear axle is a Dana 80 with 4.10 gears
and a limited slip. The front axle is a Dana 60 with 4.10 gears. It
has a 6 Inch Skyjacker lift that was professionally installed. It
is sitting on a nice set of aftermarket chrome rims with 315/75/17
Goodyear Wrangler tires.
