This 1988 Jeep Wrangler is a very cool, very unique, and
professional build with a lot of upgrades. This was built to be a
reliable and fun driver that you can drive to and from any trail.
There has been a lot of custom work to this Jeep and the builder is
a well known custom fabricator in the area. This thing was built
right and the proof is in how it runs and drives. The body on this
Jeep is a CJ-7 Fibreglass tub, YJ 2 piece doors, Cj-7 Fenders and
Grille, and fibreglass cowl hood. The frame is a fully custom built
fully boxed frame (much stronger than stock). It has fully
integrated rock sliders and roll cage all tied into the frame. It
has a custom front bumper with 12,000 pound winch and a custom rear
bumper with tire carrier and dual jerry can holder. It also has a
Besttop Soft Top.
The interior is nice and it is your basic Jeep interior. It has
front bucket seats and rear bench seat. It has a custom center
console with integrated floor shifter and a custom dash. The
headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. It has a custom bluetooth stereo in the dash. The dash has
the full mechanical gauge package and the mechanical gauges that
are hooked up are the fuel gauge, voltage gauge, trans temp gauge,
and tachometer. The other gauges are digital integrated in the
Holley Fuel Injection screen. This Jeep has working heat, working
windshield wipers, and the horn works too.
Mechanically this CJ/Wrangler is top notch. It drives amazing down
the road and it is very quick! The engine is a 6.0L V8 that runs
strong with no issues or red flags. The engine was tore down to the
short block, checked out and installed new gaskets, new lifters,
mild cam and headers with dual exhaust. He also added a Holley
Terminator X stand alone fuel injection system (just for engine and
transmission). They added an intank fuel pump at that time to
handle the EFI system. Other items include a cold air intake and
aluminum radiator. The transmission is the 4L60E automatic with a
shift kit and corvette servo for firm smooth shifting. It is mated
to the Dana 300 transfer case. The transfer case was clocked up
tight to give it better clearance. It has a Ford 9 Inch rear axle
with 4.56 gears and a Detroit Locker. The axles are chrome moly.
The front axle is a Dana 44 with 4.56 gears and Locker. The front
axle is trussed. It has custom heavy duty driveshafts front and
rear. It has a 4 Inch spring lift with HD shackles. This is all
sitting on aluminum wheels with 33 Inch All Terrain Tires. This is
an awesome build!!
