This 1948 Ford F-5 1 1/2 Ton Dump bed truck comes in a dark green
patina with a wood bed painted in red. Don't let the looks fool
you; this truck has been completely gone through and runs, drives,
and operates very well. It is sitting on 20'' factory steel wheels
with dulley rears. Overall, the body of this truck is solid, with
good fenders, doors, hood, cab, and frame. All the wood on the bed
is in great shape. Under the hood is a 239 CID Ford ''Flathead'' V8
engine, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. It has a
separate shaft that controls the dump bed, and it raises and lowers
with no issue. It still has the 6-volt system, and everything
electrical works well. The interior looks good, and the bench seat
is in excellent shape. The gauge cluster has been restored, and all
gauges work. Also, the cab and doors have all good glass. The
floors have some light surface rust but no rust through in the
floors or cab corners. This 1948 Ford F-5 is a great truck for a
hobby farm, museum, or just to have fun owning it. It is a
