This 1997 Dodge Viper GTS was initially delivered to Crown Dodge of
Ventura, California, and now shows just over 6k miles. Finished in
Viper Red, the car features a vented hood, a double-bubble roof
panel, and an integrated rear lip spoiler. It rides on 17
five-spoke alloy wheels and is powered by an 8.0-liter V10 linked
with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip
differential. Inside, black leathertrimmed seats are accompanied by
a CD stereo, air conditioning, and power windows. Acquired by the
selling dealer, this Viper GTS is now offered as part of John
Kufleitner's Personal Museum Collection with a window sticker,
manufacturers literature, a commemorative CD and binder of records,

title.Introduced for the 1996 model year, the Viper GTS coupe
featured a double-bubble roof panel and a glass rear hatch along
with a vented hood, projector-style headlights, fog lights, an
integrated rear lip spoiler, a racing-style fuel-filler cap, and
center-exit exhaust outlets. This example left the factory finished
in Viper Red and is one of a claimed 1,671 examples produced for
the year.The 17 five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 275/40
front and 335/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Braking is
handled by four-wheel ventilated discs.The cabin features bolstered
bucket seats upholstered in black leather. Additional equipment
includes a CD stereo, air conditioning, dual airbags, adjustable
pedals, and power windows.The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames
a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline.
Auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level,
and voltage are mounted atop the center stack. The six-digit
odometer shows 6k miles.The 8.0-liter OHV V10 was factory rated at
450 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque. The oil pan gasket and
battery were replaced and the oil was changed in 2024.Power is sent
to the rear wheels through a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual
transmission and a limited-slip differential.The window sticker
lists delivery to Crown Dodge as well as factory colors, equipment,
and a total original MSRP price of $70,000 (Equal to $137,672 in
2024). A commemorative CD and case are also included in the sale
along with manufacturers literature, accessories, and a binder
containing service records, invoices, photos, and other related
