Jealousy is often called the 'green-eyed monster' and can be
precipitated by all sorts of things. One of these can be someone
seeing someone else driving the car of their dreams right past them
on the highway. It is no coincidence that this 1965 Shelby Cobra
Factory Five Mark IV is a replica of one of the most lusted-after
muscle cars in history, painted in a bright green with an offset
full-length grey stripe to remove what little amount of subtlety
this car may have had left. With just 502 miles on it since its
build, this Cobra has barely been broken in.
Inside, the form-follows-function interior gets a little more
pizazz than Shelby's original car thanks to comfortable bucket
seats and a center console with exterior-matched green diamond
stitching to complement a set of Simpson four-point harnesses. A
trick set of white-faced AutoMeter gauges, Wilwood drilled foot
pedals, and a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel featuring a
Factory Five centercap.
Under the front-hinged hood, we find a beautiful, high-tech-looking
5.0-liter DOHC Coyote V-8 engine. Power from that modern five-oh
gets sent through a Tremec TKO600 five-speed manual transmission
before heading out to a 3.31:1 geared 8.8-inch Posi rear. Spent
gasses are sent through a set of shorty headers and then out
through those magnificent side pipes that sound as good as they
look.

tubular a-arm and adjustable coilover front suspension and a
four-link with coilovers and panhard bar setup in the rear, this
Cobra looks poised and ready to strike from any angle. Rack and
pinion steering help maintain control of this beast while 17-inch
Halibrand-style American Racing Wheels featuring faux knock-off
spinners shod in 245/45ZR-17 front and bigger 315/35ZR-17 rear
Nitto rubber out back keep this Cobra glued to the pavement.
