For Sale: 1980 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am in Lincoln, Nebraska

Stock Number: 1466 - This Trans AM is 1 of 5700 Pace Cars built by Pontiac. These are some of the best-looking Trans AM's of the late 2nd Gens. They were all built loaded with options. Some of those included the WS6 handling package and the unique 15x8 Turbo-style wheels. 4 wheel disc brakes, heavy-duty anti-sway bars and a high-performance steering system. These were the first Turbo Powered cars Pontiac Built. They were an industry leader. They are true road cars and if you have never experienced driving one, you are missing out. They were down some of straight-line performance, but the lighter weight engine made for a more balanced car, and the handling was superb. They are really enjoyable to drive.

This example is in survivor condition. The Paint is a combination of original and some areas touched up and resprayed. It shows well. The Interior is in good condition for its age. Even though these were sold loaded with options, there still were 15 options you could order on these cars and this one has all 11 of them. So this is what you want to see when you are searching for a Pace Car to add to your collection. This very collectible Trans AM is one that many collectors look for. Maybe that new collector is you!
