1967 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe - Numbers Matching L36 427/390hp,
Fully Documented With Tank Sticker LMC is proud to offer for sale
this 1967 Corvette Coupe L36 Chevrolet Corvette, C2 for 2nd
Generation and also known as the Corvette Stingray, is the American
sports car legend produced for the 1963 to 1967 model years. The
radical exterior styling of this Corvette generation was very
purposeful, with peaked fenders, a long nose, and a short, bobbed
tail. Chevrolet designers actually bragged about the styling at the
time, saying: 'looks most stylists would be too timid to even
suggest'. The 1967 Corvette Stingray was the last Corvette of the
second generation, and five years of refinements made it the best
of the line. Changes were modest for '67. Five smaller front fender
vents replaced the three larger ones, new single backup light
mounted above the license plate. The previous models' wheel covers
gave way to slotted six-inch Rally wheels with chrome beauty rings
and lug nuts concealed behind chrome caps. Interior alterations
included revised upholstery, and the handbrake moved from beneath
the dash to between the seats. The L36 engine package cost the
original buyer an extra $200.15. This is one of only 8,504 Coupes
for the production year that put 22,940 Corvettes on the road so
once again the Coupe was the rare model. The base price for the '67
Coupe was $4353. This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette coupe was sold new at
Lattof Motor Sales in Arlington Heights, Illinois on March 23rd,
1967. Finished in its very desirable, factory correct livery of
Lynndale Blue with black stinger and black leather interior. This
car is powered by the numbers matching L36 427 factory rated at
390hp and numbers matching M21 Muncie transmission. It comes
optioned with Pushbutton AM/FM Radio, Tinted Glass, Side Exhaust,
Transistor Ignition, Posi Traction 3.70 rear axle and Bolt On
wheels with red line tires. This highly original Corvette retains
many of original components and has never been restored throughout
its life time. It has had one repaint a long time ago that has held
up very nicely being only used on nice summer days. The door jambs
and under the hood is still original paint with the factory sloppy
yellow weather striping glue. The interior itself is certainly
largely original and in outstanding original condition. Also under
close inspection of the cars undercarriage one will notice the
factory applied chalk marks, paint dabs, shim markings, frame
stencils, masking tape still present on the frame shims and paper
tags on the front coil springs. It comes fully documented with
window sticker, protect-o-plate, owner's manual, ownership history
and original tank sticker still in place which ensures authenticity
and is yet another reason this Corvette is such a prize for the
collector or enthusiast. Travel back in time and escape life's
pressures in this '67 Corvette Coupe L36 427/390hp. Its is very
unusual to find a numbers matching engine and transmission, never
restored, never taken apart, fully documented Corvette that has not
been tampered with. Additional Details: 1967 CHEVROLET CORVETTE -
